Studies shows that good nigh sleep supports brain function and physical health. I feel that good night sleeping improves my mood, concentration and memory. I also have good energy for my day to day activities including gym. Studies also shows that get the essential nutrients play a great deal within the quality of sleeping. This is a topic that highly interests me as one of my goal is to get everything as possible from healthy plant based. So I looked up what is proven to work to apply it to myself. Tryptophan is an essential dietary amino acid that the body uses to produce serotonin, a chemical that helps to regulate sleep, and melatonin. Tryptophan is found in protein foods and is most readily absorbed by the body when it is eaten with carbohydrates. Diets highest in whole grains, fruit, vegetables, nuts, and legumes improve sleep quality. Therefore, adherence to overall plant-based diets, especially healthy plant-based diets, are positively associated with optimal sleep quality.
